Ocean Hatch Lower Frame Options Ocean hatches come with flat or flanged lower frames to cover all installation requirements.
Handles The handles are made from glass filled nylon. On larger hatches there is an external handle and a locking button inside. The external handle is designed to fail if it is forced when the hatch is locked, leaving the boat secure.
Ocean Hatch Vent Position The handles close against the catch blocks on the lower frame to shut the hatch. The catch blocks have a second position allowing the lid to be secured slightly ajar. This provides all the security of the fully shut position while allowing an air flow. The upper frame overlaps the lower frame breakwater preventing rain from entering the boat.
High Lower Frame Breakwater The inverted ''J'' profile reduces the amount of water entering the boat when the hatch is open.
Friction Levers Hold the lid open in any position up to 95° and mechanically attach the acrylic to the frame.
